My journey as an artist
I am Tanya Niforatos, a professional artist who lives and breathes creativity. My journey began with an arts college education in the eighties, followed by a surprising offer: a recording contract from Warner Bros Records. However, I turned it down to embrace motherhood, family life, and a deeper pursuit of true love and artistic creativity. Decades ago, I arrived in New Mexico, living the van life and cleaning homes to make ends meet. One day, I cleaned a house that was empty except for a room full of art supplies. The owner told me to keep them, and that moment reignited my artistic path.

The timeless allure of oil
I continued my art education, delving into art history and honing my skills. The Renaissance painters taught me about the soul in art, and from there, I moved to Impressionism, my favorite era. Artists like Mary Cassatt, Claude Monet, Van Gogh, and Auguste Renoir taught me how to interpret colors and shapes into an Impressionistic work of art. What truly sets my paintings apart is the medium: oil paint. It offers a depth and ability to capture light unmatched by any other medium, which is why museum masterpieces are almost exclusively oil paintings. Your special event deserves a painting that will truly stand the test of time.

Experience the magic
When I paint live at your event, the process of watching your special moment come to life on canvas is truly magical. The layers of collage, underpainting, and the gradual emergence of likeness provide unique entertainment for your guests, especially in our digital age. I hope that when customers see my artwork, they feel a deep connection to their cherished memories, preserved in a vibrant and lasting form. It's more than just a painting; it's a living piece of your history.
"My life changed forever when I discovered the Art Institute of Chicago at sixteen. I wandered the halls, captivated by the greatest art on Earth, and it became my ambition to follow in the footsteps of those artists."
